Four CDJs to control

Today I did something new in the classroom! It was super cool! Today, I was working with four (YES… 4) Pioneer CDJ decks! My first 4 CDJs mix!

I needed all my focus to control the right sliders and buttons. It is insane!

Deck 1 and 4 were the new Pioneer XDJ-1000. There is no CD drive on this media player. The 7″ full color LCD is a touch screen. Even the “Needle Search” goes through the touch screen. The Quantized Beat Jump lets you skip the track 1, 2 or 4 beats back or forward, all arranged with the touch screen.

Still, I like to work with the older CDJ-2000 nexus, also in terms of design, I prefer the current 2000 series.
